Job description
Overview

Calian is looking for a fully bilingual (French and English) Junior E-Learning Developer to join our Learning Solutions team based in Kingston, ON. This is an on-site position requiring fluency in both official languages to support the creation and development of engaging training courses for our clients. The position is a contract role until May 2026.

Responsibilities
  • Develop multimedia eLearning content using images, audio, video, and animations
  • Use rapid eLearning authoring tools such as Adobe Captivate, Articulate Storyline, dominKnow Flow/Claro, or Lectora Publisher to design and publish courses
  • Collaborate with instructional designers to convert storyboards into interactive eLearning modules
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to eLearning content and Learning Management System (LMS) integration
  • Provide advice on suitable interactions and technical constraints within eLearning projects
  • Create reusable and maintainable online training materials
  • Support the development of internal training documentation and resources
  • Advise subject matter experts (SMEs) and clients on learning technologies and training improvements
  • Maintain detailed documentation for course maintenance and updates
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • Must be fully bilingual in French and English (oral and written)
  • Must meet one of the following profiles:
  • A. Minimum secondary school diploma AND at least 3 years of experience developing SCORM-compliant eLearning courses using rapid authoring tools (Adobe Captivate, Articulate Storyline, dominKnow Flow/Claro, Lectora, etc.) and/or web technologies (HTML, CSS, Java, scripting languages).
  • B. University degree or college diploma in computer science, multimedia, IT, animation, or related field AND minimum 1 year experience in SCORM eLearning development with authoring tools and web technologies.
  • C. University degree or college diploma in related field AND participation in at least 3 SCORM eLearning development projects using rapid authoring tools and/or web technologies.
Additional Requirements
  • Ability to obtain Government Security Clearance at the Reliability level
