Job summary

Appnovation, headquartered in Vancouver, is seeking a Junior Accountant to support day-to-day financial and administrative operations, focusing on accounts payable processing. You will be a key contact for vendors and internal teams to ensure bills are paid accurately and on time.

You will process vendor bills and expenses, reconcile statements, maintain vendor master data, and assist with year-end audit preparation.

Qualifications

• A college or university graduate in Accounting; 1-2 years of relevant experience is an asset.
• Proficient in Excel.
• Detail-oriented, with strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Comfortable communicating with colleagues and stakeholders at all levels.
• Able to meet tight deadlines and work well under pressure.
• Adaptable and flexible in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with Salesforce/Certinia is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Process vendor bills and employee expenses, and resolve discrepancies.
• Respond to supplier calls and payment inquiries promptly.
• Reconcile vendor statements and follow up on outstanding items.
• Reconcile and process credit card statements and supporting receipts.
• Maintain and update the vendor master file.
• Partner with teams across the company to resolve AP inquiries.
• Support preparation for the year-end audit.
• Take on additional duties and ad hoc projects as needed.
