Job summary

Appnovation Technologies in Vancouver, BC, seeks a Junior Accountant to support day-to-day financial and administrative operations, focusing on accurate accounts payable processing, timely bill payments, and collaboration with suppliers and internal teams.

Reporting to the Accounts Payable Manager, you will process vendor bills and employee expenses, reconcile statements, assist with year-end audit preparation, and take on additional duties in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• College or university degree in Accounting or a related field.
• 1–2 years of accounting experience is an asset.
• Strong Excel skills are required.
• Detail-oriented with analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Process vendor bills and employee expenses, and resolve discrepancies.
• Respond to supplier calls and payment inquiries promptly.
• Reconcile vendor statements and follow up on outstanding items.
• Reconcile and process credit card statements and receipts.
• Maintain and update the vendor master file.
• Partner with teams to resolve AP inquiries.
• Support year-end audit preparation.
• Take on additional duties and ad hoc projects as needed.

The Role

Reporting to the Accounts Payable Manager, the Junior Accountant supports the company’s day-to-day financial and administrative operations, with a focus on accurate, timely accounts payable processing. You’ll be a key point of contact for suppliers and internal teams, helping ensure every bill is paid correctly and on time.

This is a full-time role.

You Will Have The Opportunity To

Who You Are

• A college or university graduate in Accounting; 1-2 years of relevant experience is an asset
• Proficient in Excel
• Detail-oriented, with strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Comfortable communicating with colleagues and stakeholders at all levels
• Able to meet tight deadlines and work well under pressure
• Adaptable and flexible in a fast-paced environment
• Experience with Salesforce/Certinia is an asset
