The incumbent must also have the ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and possess strong interpersonal and communication skills. This role requires a minimum of two years of relevant accounting experience, strong analytical skills and proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint & Word and experience in financial accounting software.

A post-secondary degree ideally in accounting or business is preferred.

What — the opportunity : Reporting to the Senior P&D Accountant, this role is responsible for coding invoices and forwarding to Accounts Payable, maintaining accounting files, matching invoices to purchase orders, resolving billing discrepancies, providing financial reviews, summarising financial results, reconciling income statements and balance sheet accounts, and establishing accruals to ensure proper financial reporting. Providing support to other positions in the Finance department is also a requirement of this role.

Where : North Vancouver. Nice and spacious office very close to the SeaBus and other transit. The Junior Accountant can work from the office full time or from home two days per week, even post-pandemic.

How much : Competitive base salary dependent on experience. The company will provide the Junior Accountant with excellent benefits from day 1, three weeks vacation, and other generous rewards.
