Job summary

Finning Canada is seeking a Parts Journeyperson in Tisdale, SK to develop and maintain customer relationships and provide sales support for telephone, walk-in, and shop parts needs.

You will manage the ordering process, handle backorders, and contribute to a safe, efficient parts operation while leveraging CAT product knowledge and a broad set of SIS/AIMS/InfoCast tools.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years previous experience in customer sales, parts and/or warehouse required.
• High school diploma (Grade 12) completed.
• Willingness to complete Parts Apprenticeship Program if not certified and pass Pre-Apprenticeship Testing.

Responsibilities

• Provide front counter sales support over the phone and at the walk-in counter.
• Develop and maintain customer relationships.
• Source and order CAT and non-CAT parts (new and used).
• Manage backorders and provide shipping estimates.
• Process parts credits and customer orders.
• Participate in on-site safety requirements.
• Support parts sales related projects and initiatives.
• Pull and label parts orders for shipments.
• Perform warehouse duties and housekeeping.
• Assist in hydraulic hose building and core inspections.

Job Description:
Major Job Functions:

• Provide front counter (over the phone and walk in) and/or shop parts counter sales support.
• Develop and maintain customer relationships.
• Source and order new and used CAT and non-CAT parts.
• Manage backorders and provide updates regarding estimated shipping.
• Process parts credits and customer orders.
• Participate and adhere to on-site safety requirements.
• Participate in parts sales related special projects and assignments.
• Participate in call quality and performance initiatives as required.
• Pulling customer and branch parts orders.
• Packing and labeling parts orders for shipments.
• Warehouse duties and housekeeping as required.
• Hydraulic hose building.
• Core inspections.

Qualifications:

• Journeyperson parts certification coupled with previous parts, warehouse, and front counter sales experience is preferred
• If candidate is not certified, a willingness to complete the Parts Apprenticeship Program mandatory as well as the successful completion of Finning Pre-Apprenticeship Testing.
• 3 – 5 years previous experience working with customer sales, parts and/or warehouse is required.
• Successful completion of grade 12.
• A high performance, positive attitude and the ability to build and maintain respectful working relationships
• Clearly demonstrate enthusiasm about their work and must be able to function effectively and purposefully in a dynamic environment
• This self-motivated individual will be a team player with highly developed organizational, interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to deal with difficult situations and driven to provide unparalleled customer service
• Experience with SIS, AIMS, Antares, SIMSi, InfoCast, Lawson M3, Landmark Smart Office, M3 Sales Automation and the MS Office Package will be considered assets
• Caterpillar parts product knowledge is an asset
