Kal Tire is seeking a Journeyperson Automotive Service Technician at our Wabush, NL location. You will perform maintenance and repairs on a range of vehicles, mentor apprentices, and work with a team dedicated to safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Fully licensed Automotive Service Technician (Journeyperson/Journeyman or Red Seal)
• Valid driver's license required
• At least 3 years hands-on experience with front-end brakes, shocks and wheel alignments
• Experience with inspections, diagnostics, adjustments, servicing and repairs on a variety of vehicles
• Familiarity with VMAC is an asset; training available

Responsibilities

• Perform a wide range of general mechanical services, including brake and suspension repairs, engine diagnostics, and routine maintenance
• Mentor apprentices and coach teammates to develop skills
• Collaborate with a skilled team on vehicles from passenger cars to light trucks
• Identify service opportunities in partnership with Sales
• Maintain high safety and quality standards

Responsibilities

• Perform a wide range of general mechanical services, including brake and suspension repairs, engine diagnostics, and routine maintenance.
• Mentor and coach apprentices by sharing your expertise and supporting their skill development in a learning-focused environment.
• Collaborate with a skilled team while working on various vehicles, from standard passenger cars to light trucks.
• Identify potential mechanical service opportunities in partnership with the Sales team.
• Maintain the highest standards of safety and quality in all tasks.

Qualifications

• Fully licensed as an Automotive Service Technician (Journeyperson/Journeyman or Red Seal certified)
• A valid driver's license.
• Brings a minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience with front-end brakes, shocks, and wheel alignments.
• Familiarity with VMAC (Vehicle Mounted Air Compressors) is an asset; training available
• Experienced in performing inspections, diagnostics, adjustments, servicing, and repairs on a variety of vehicles.
• Demonstrates excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach to problem-solving.
