Kal Tire in Canada is seeking a Journeyperson Automotive Service Technician at our Wabush, NL location. You will perform routine maintenance to complex repairs on a range of vehicles and contribute to a safe, high‑quality service environment.

Qualifications

• Fully licensed as an Automotive Service Technician (Journeyperson/Journeyman or Red Seal certified).
• Valid driver’s license.
• Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience with front-end brakes, shocks, and wheel alignments.
• Experience diagnosing and repairing a variety of vehicles.
• Demonstrates attention to detail and methodical problem-solving.

Responsabilités

• Perform a wide range of general mechanical services, including brake and suspension repairs, engine diagnostics, and routine maintenance.
• Mentor and coach apprentices by sharing expertise and supporting their skill development.
• Collaborate with a skilled team while working on various vehicles from standard passenger cars to light trucks.
• Identify potential mechanical service opportunities in partnership with the Sales team.
• Maintain the highest standards of safety and quality in all tasks.

Qualifications

• Fully licensed as an Automotive Service Technician (Journeyperson/Journeyman or Red Seal certified
• A valid driver’s license.
• Brings a minimum of 3 years of hand-on experience with front-end brakes, shocks, and wheel alignments.
• Familiarity with VMAC (Vehicle Mounted Air Compressors) is an asset; training available
• Experienced in performing inspections, diagnostics, adjustments, servicing, and repairs on a variety of vehicles.
• Demonstrates excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach to problem-solving.
