Kal Tire's Mining Tire Group in Wabush, NL is seeking a Journeyperson Automotive Service Technician to perform maintenance and repairs on a range of vehicles. You will mentor apprentices and help develop the next generation of technicians, with a clear path to Lead Technician, while upholding safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Perform general mechanical services including brake and suspension repairs, engine diagnostics, and routine maintenance
• Mentor and coach apprentices in a learning-focused environment

• Identify service opportunities in partnership with Sales team

Responsibilities

• Perform a wide range of general mechanical services, including brake and suspension repairs, engine diagnostics, and routine maintenance.
• Mentor and coach apprentices by sharing your expertise and supporting their skill development in a learning-focused environment.
• Collaborate with a skilled team while working on various vehicles, from standard passenger cars to light trucks.
• Identify potential mechanical service opportunities in partnership with the Sales team.
• Maintain the highest standards of safety and quality in all tasks.

Qualifications

• Fully licensed as an Automotive Service Technician (Journeyperson/Journeyman or Red Seal certified
• A valid driver’s license.
• Brings a minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience with front-end brakes, shocks, and wheel alignments.
• Familiarity with VMAC (Vehicle Mounted Air Compressors) is an asset; training available
• Experienced in performing inspections, diagnostics, adjustments, servicing, and repairs on a variety of vehicles.
• Demonstrates excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach to problem-solving.
