Job summary

Finning Canada is seeking a Journeyperson Helper to support our Surrey, BC team. You will assist Journeyperson Mechanics, perform minor service on machines (oil changes, routine checks), and help with shop and yard organization. This role includes CAT Dealer Grade Training and opportunities for growth within a leader in heavy equipment.

Applicants should be mechanically inclined, able to follow directions, and work well in a team with strong communication. Forklift certification is an asset.

Skills and Qualifications:

Mechanically inclined, self-starter ability to follow directions, work well within a team environment and contribute positively to a team environment Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills Ability to work successfully under minimal supervision Past experience in a maintenance shop environment, mechanical experience, and forklift certification would be considered assets

This position is based in Surrey, BC on a 5x2 Shift (Monday to Friday) Hours and shift schedule may be subject to change to meet customer and/or Finning (Canada) requirements. Please note that any future shift changes that may occur will be made in accordance with the Terms & Conditions of the current Collective Agreement Union Membership: You are required to become a member of the Union associated with this position. This will be effective immediately and will result in union dues being deducted from your pay. The terms and conditions of your employment will be governed by the collective agreement.
