Job summary

Finning Canada is seeking field experienced Red Seal Journeyperson Heavy Duty Mechanics to join our Mining Support Team based out of Kamloops. You will support projects on customer mine sites, performing NEP, PCRs and overhauls, while maintaining clear communication with the customer.

The role requires Interprovincial Journeyperson certification (Red Seal preferred), 3+ years on assembly/disassembly, and strong safety, interpersonal and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Interprovincial Journeyperson Heavy Equipment Certification required (Red Seal preferred)
• 3+ years experience in assembly and disassembly, performing overhauls
• 5+ Years Off Road Mechanical Experience recommended
• Safety conscious team player with excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills with a high attention to detail
• Strong interpersonal and communications skills, both written and verbal
• Understanding of the Caterpillar mining product line: 793D, 793F, D10T, D11, 24M is an asset

Responsibilities

• Support major projects on customer mine sites performing PCRs, NEP, overhauls, etc.

Important Details:

This is a site position, on a 7 x 7 continuous shift rotation (potential day shift / night shift rotation, depending on customer requirements)

A condition of employment requires the ability to obtain Customer Site Access (drug, alcohol and fitness testing) and the capacity to wear a respirator
