Job summary

South London Nissan in London, Ontario is seeking a Journeyman Automotive Technician to diagnose, test, and repair vehicle systems, and to mentor apprentices. The role emphasizes maintaining factory standards, safety, and customer satisfaction within a fast-paced dealership environment.

You will perform preventative maintenance, inspect key systems, and document work on repair orders while collaborating with Parts and Service Advisors. A valid provincial journeyman certificate is required.

Qualifications

• Provincially recognized Journeyman Automotive Mechanic Certificate required or in progress.
• Red Seal Certification would be considered an asset.
• Completion of related post-secondary program or training courses.
• Professional demeanor and strong work ethic.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment.
• Must possess a valid driver's license and safe driving history.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, test, and repair vehicle systems to ensure safety and functionality.
• Conduct preventative maintenance and inspect critical components such as brakes, fuel systems, and engines.
• Mentor apprentices and maintain a safe, efficient work environment.
• Communicate with Parts and Service Advisors to manage repairs and customer communication.
• Document all work on the repair order per OEM standards and warranty requirements.
• Maintain inventory of common tools and stay updated with factory bulletins and training.
• Provide an exceptional repair experience to drive customer loyalty and revenue.
