AutoCanada’s Nissan dealership in Ottawa, ON is seeking an Automotive Technician to diagnose, test and repair vehicle systems, ensuring safety and reliability. The role involves performing preventative maintenance, inspecting brakes, fuel systems, and engines, and mentoring apprentices.

The ideal candidate holds a provincially recognized Journeyman Automotive Mechanic Certificate, with Red Seal an asset, and strong communication and teamwork skills. A valid driver's license is required.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of various makes and models.
• Journeyman Automotive Mechanic Certificate completed or in process.
• Red Seal Certification would be an asset.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, test, and repair vehicle systems to ensure safety and functionality.
• Perform preventative maintenance and inspect critical components (brakes, fuel systems, engines).
• Mentor apprentices and maintain a safe, efficient work environment.
• Document all work on repair orders per OEM standards and ensure warranty payment where applicable.
