Job summary

AutoCanada Inc. at Mark Wilson's Better Used Cars in Guelph, ON, seeks a Journeyman Automotive Technician.

You will diagnose, test, and repair vehicle systems, perform preventative maintenance, and mentor apprentices in a fast-paced dealership environment. We value technicians with a provincially recognized Journeyman Certificate (Red Seal is a plus), strong knowledge of many makes and models, and solid problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.

Qualifications

• Journeyman certificate in Ontario (in progress or completed).
• Strong knowledge of various makes and models.
• Ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving and organizational skills.
• Must possess a valid driver's license and a safe driving history.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, test, and repair vehicle systems to OEM standards.
• Perform preventative maintenance and inspections of critical components.
• Mentor apprentices and maintain a safe, efficient shop.
• Coordinate with parts and service advisors to manage repairs and communication.
• Document work on the repair order and ensure warranty handling.
