Job summary
Sandvik is seeking a Product Technical Specialist for ITH Drills in Winnipeg, MB. You will be the go-to technical resource for Sandvik ITH drilling equipment, supporting customers and internal teams across Canada with advanced drilling technology.
The role involves training, commissioning, installing, testing, and maintaining equipment, plus troubleshooting complex issues and driving solutions in demanding mining environments. English proficiency required; French is a plus.
Qualifications
- Red Seal certification and 5+ years of technical experience.
- Strong knowledge of hydraulic and electronic systems.
- Experience troubleshooting complex equipment.
- Mining or heavy equipment experience valued.
- Ability to travel ~70%.
Responsibilities
- Train technical teams in sales areas and end customers.
- Provide pre-sales and post-sales technical support including commissioning, installing, testing, and maintaining products.
- Guide internal stakeholders through product training and support.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical problems.
- Research and recommend equipment upgrades to meet customer needs.
- Maintain relationships to secure future business.
- Train customers on equipment features.
