Job summary

Sandvik Group in Winnipeg, MB is seeking a Product Technical Specialist - ITH Drills to provide high-quality technical support to internal personnel and external customers. You will develop technical competencies, train technicians and customers, and act as the go-to technical resource for Sandvik ITH drilling equipment, across Canada.

You will train teams, support commissioning and testing, troubleshoot complex problems, and advise on upgrades while travel remains high.

Qualifications

• Red Seal Heavy Duty Equipment Technician certification
• Minimum 5 years of technical experience
• Strong knowledge of hydraulic and electronic systems
• Experience troubleshooting and diagnosing complex equipment problems
• Mining, drilling or heavy mobile equipment experience strongly valued
• Strong customer service and relationship-building skills
• Ability and interest in training, coaching and transferring technical knowledge
• Comfortable working in underground mine environments
• Ability to travel approximately 70% of the time
• Strong organization and time-management skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; French is an asset

Currently we have an opening for a Product Technical Specialist - ITH Drills. The Product Technical Specialist is responsible for providing high quality product technical support for Sandvik internal personnel and external customers, and for developing the technical competencies of both internal and external personnel.

This is more than a traditional technician role. You'll become a go-to technical resource for Sandvik ITH drilling equipment, supporting customers and Sandvik teams across Canada. You'll work with advanced drilling technology, solve complex technical challenges, train technicians and customers, and help ensure our equipment performs at its best in demanding mining environments.

What you will be doing
