Job summary

Microserve is seeking an IT Systems Analyst in Victoria, BC for a 6-month contract. You will support, monitor, and optimize application platforms and data reporting environments, working with IT Services, stakeholders, and third-party providers to implement best practices and ensure service availability.

The role focuses on production application services, disaster recovery planning, and continuous improvement through automation and standardization.

Qualifications

Degree or diploma in Computer Science or a related field.
2+ years of experience as an Application Administrator and/or Systems Analyst.
Proficiency with endpoint management tools (SCCM, Intune, Addigy) and virtualization tech.
Knowledge of Active Directory GPO, domains, and OU management.
Experience with third-party applications (Defender, WSUS, Office 365, Ninite Pro).
PowerShell scripting and automation experience.
Familiarity with reporting architecture and development.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Ability to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Monitor and tune application platforms for security, cost-effectiveness, and performance.
Provide Tier 3 support and data reporting consulting; diagnose incidents and document fixes.
Maintain application platform knowledge bases and disaster recovery plans.
Collaborate with stakeholders and IT services to plan patches and upgrades.
Identify automation opportunities in testing, deployment, and monitoring.
Support and improve production services aligned with enterprise standards.
