Job summary

NSCC in Halifax is seeking a Digital Technology Analyst (CS12) to provide IT support to students, faculty and staff across the province. The role involves handling tickets, maintaining hardware and software in college labs, and ensuring reliable CCN access for educators.

As an entry-level position welcoming new graduates, you will work under the School of Applied Technology and Innovation and collaborate with the Digital Technology Lead to keep technical labs up-to-date and well-supported.

Qualifications

• The minimum educational qualification for this position is a diploma or degree in Information Technology, Systems/Networking, Computer Science, or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Provide IT students, faculty, and staff across the province with highly specialized IT support via phone, e-mail, and in-person.
• Record daily work activities using a departmental ticket management system, ensure accurate opening and closing of tickets, providing appropriate information that supports overall service analysis and long-term planning.
• Provide primary technical support for IT Faculty across the province who teach using the College's Collaborative Network (CCN). You will support service requests, analyze potential solutions and risks, as well as troubleshoot user access to network accounts.
• Research sources/costs, order and maintain inventory of computer supplies for day-to-day usage.
• Assist with the installation and maintenance of hardware and software in the CCN computer labs and IT faculty computers. You will work to support the CCN network and equipment used for educational purposes.
