Job summary

Interpro Pipe & Steel Inc. in Canada is seeking an Information Technology co-op student to gain hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment. You will assist with various IT projects, develop and maintain databases, and contribute to production systems under mentorship.

The program is designed to grow with you, leading toward a full-time IT role after graduation, with opportunities to work on client/server solutions, data integration, and process automation across our facilities.

Qualifications

  • 2nd year CS or Software Systems Eng student in good standing at a recognized post-secondary institution.
  • Good knowledge of database performance and tune-ups.
  • Proficiency in the .NET stack: VB/.NET/C#/ASP.NET/HTML; SQL Server 2019+.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with assigned IT projects, contributing expertise and owning results for tasks.
  • Support integrated client/server environments.
  • Contribute to automation and control through industrial protocols.
  • Help design and develop customized process feedback.

Job Description and Responsibilities

Interpro’s Information Technology Co‑op program is designed for students interested in building a career in industrial manufacturing. Co‑op assignments are structured so that students develop with each new work term, positioning them to accept an increasing level of complexity and self‑reliance. Our goal is to have our co‑op students fully capable of stepping into a full‑time information technology role after their degree is attained. With the collaboration of the Interpro Tubular Products Group Information Technology team, you will assist with various projects related to information management, database development and maintenance as well as contribute to the technical competencies and production requirements of our manufacturing facilities. Interpro Pipe & Steel is committed to maintaining and promoting a safe, healthy and injury‑free environment.

Assist with assigned projects, contributing expertise and owning results for assigned tasks. Comfortable developing/supporting systems used in a manufacturing environment, solid programming skills and desire to work under the mentorship of a well experienced team. Integrated Client/Server environment. Automation and Control through a variety of Industrial protocols. Innovation to design and develop customized process feedback. Performs other duties as they might be assigned.

Requirements
