Orion Steel Group in Calgary is seeking a .NET Developer to design, develop and support manufacturing systems using current IT technologies. The role collaborates with production teams to deliver production-critical solutions and reports to the Director, Information Systems & Tech.
Required are 5+ years in .NET, a BS in CS or related field, and strong Microsoft tech skills including VB/C#/ASP.NET, C++, SQL Server, WPF and WCF. SCADA/HMI experience with Proficy iFIX or WinCC is a plus.

We are seeking a .NET Developer to join our team in Calgary. In this role, this individual would be responsible to design, develop and support systems in an exciting manufacturing environment that utilizes current IT technologies to deliver production critical solutions using lean and agile programming methods. This position would report to the Director, Information Systems & Tech. Contribute your technical and professional skills in a team environment that works on applications utilizing:
Collaborate onsite with our Production, Quality, Health & Safety, Maintenance and Shipping teams to gain knowledge of the different systems they work with.
Contribute towards design, development, maintenance of proprietary software applications to enable effective functioning of manufacturing systems.
5+ years of experience designing, developing and deploying applications within a Microsoft .NET environment.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
Technical strengths in several of the following Microsoft technologies:
Experience with SCADA HMI development using Proficy iFIX or WinCC and PLC communications would be considered an asset.
