Job summary

Interpro Pipe & Steel Inc. in Calgary is offering a Process Technology Co-op Student position for 4 or 8 months starting in the September term.

You will work in the Process Technology department, participate in tubular testing projects, and review process data to identify non-conformities. The role provides exposure to pipe forming, welding, heat treatment, and threading, with hands-on data collection, analysis, and KPI reporting.

Qualifications

  • Enrolled in a recognized Engineering program at a Canadian University and completed a minimum of 1 year.
  • Preference will be given to those in Materials Science or Mechanical based programs.
  • Knowledge of statics and strength of materials.
  • Exposure to steel manufacturing and testing processes would be a bonus.
  • Detail oriented with MS Office experience.
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Self-starter with passion for improvement and safety.
  • Good organization skills and commitment to safety.

Job Description And Responsibilities

The Process Technology Co-op Student will work at Interpro Pipe & Steel Process Technology department at our facility in Calgary for a period of 4 or 8 months. This position will begin in the September term.

As a member of the Process Technology Group, they will participate in tubular specialized testing projects and reviewing process data to identify non-conforming conditions. The successful applicant will use investigative techniques such as statistical process control, process analyses, data collection, and will have exposure to mechanical testing and metallographic analyses. The position will provide exposure to all aspects of Interpro operations including pipe forming, welding, heat treatment and threading.
