Job summary

Interpro Pipe & Steel Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to lead the maintenance team in installing, inspecting, and repairing mechanical systems on site.

You will oversee preventive maintenance programs, document activities, and coordinate with other departments to minimize downtime. The role requires mechanical maintenance experience, leadership skills, and the ability to work on-call and weekends when needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in the mechanical field, or a completed accredited apprenticeship/ Journeyman; 5 years of experience in a mechanical maintenance role and 2-5 years’ supervisory or lead experience in a union environment Or an acceptable combination of education and experience will be considered
  • Knowledge of hydraulic systems, pneumatics, pressure vessels, motorized drive systems
  • Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) Procedures
  • Proficient in blueprint reading, P&ID and troubleshooting of mechanical operations
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel and personnel scheduling
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Must be available and flexible to be on call and work weekends when required
  • Subject to both inside and outside environmental conditions

Responsibilities

  • Assisting in procuring, organizing, and inventorying parts and materials needed for repairs.
  • Communicate and collaborate with other departments to coordinate maintenance tasks and minimize operational disruptions.
  • Provide training, guidance, and performance management for maintenance team members.
  • Document maintenance activities, inspections, repairs, and generate technical reports.
  • Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and coordinate emergency repairs.

  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Must be available and flexible to be on call and work weekends when required
