Job summary

Canaccord Genuity Corp. in Toronto seeks an Associate for the Origination group to support corporate finance, M&A, and capital markets activities. You will work with senior bankers, develop financial models, and contribute to client pitches and presentations.

A proactive, detail-oriented professional will thrive in a fast-paced environment. The role requires a university degree in business and at least three years of investment banking experience, with strong modeling and communication skills.

Qualifications

• University degree in business-related discipline.
• At least 3 years of investment banking experience, preferably in M&A and corporate finance.
• Strong financial modeling and quantitative abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist senior bankers in preparing client pitches, materials, and relationship plans.
• Build and maintain complex financial models (DCF, comps, precedent transactions, LBO, accretion/dilution).
• Coordinate due diligence and data room activities.
• Prepare transaction documentation and marketing materials.
• Track milestones and manage workstreams to ensure successful execution.
