Job summary

North Eastern Ontario Family and Children’s Services seeks a Protection Support Worker to join the Investigation, Assessment and Ongoing team in Timmins. The role provides preventative and protective intervention services to individuals, children and families, including work on behalf of children in care and approved placements.

The position is a twelve-month full-time contract with requirements including a college diploma in human services, willingness to travel, flexible hours, and bilingual

Qualifications

• A College Diploma in Human Services is required.
• Willingness to work flexible hours.

• Ability to interpret and apply legislative requirements.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Bilingualism (English/French) is an asset.
• Candidate must possess a minimum G2 driver’s license and be willing to obtain a valid G Class license or already possess a valid G Class license with access to a vehicle.

PROTECTION SUPPORT WORKER
Twelve (12) Month Full-time Contract Position in Timmins

As a member of the Investigation, Assessment and Ongoing team, the Protection Support Worker will provide preventative and protective intervention services to individuals, children and families. Services will be provided to and on behalf of children who are in the care of the Agency’s child protection services and approved placements.

JOB REQUIREMENTS (QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS):

• A College Diploma in Human Services is required
• Must be willing and able to work flexible hours
• Must be willing to travel as required
• Ability to interpret and apply legislative requirements
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
• Bilingualism (English/French) is an asset.
• Candidates must possess a minimum G2 driver’s license at the time of application and be willing to obtain a valid G Class driver’s license as a condition of employment or already possess a valid G Class driver’s license and have access to their own vehicle.
