Job summary

Neofacs in North Eastern Ontario is seeking an Investigation, Assessment and Ongoing Worker for a twelve-month, full-time contract in Kirkland Lake or Englehart. You will provide a broad spectrum of children's services, including preventative and child protection work, risk assessments, and protection planning to determine dispositions.

The position requires an MSW or BSW (college diploma considered), excellent communication and organizational skills, willingness to travel and work flexible

Qualifications

  • MSW or BSW preferred; college diploma in social services may be considered by the Executive Director
  • Experience with children, youth and families is an asset
  • Ability to interpret and apply relevant legislative requirements
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Willing to work flexible hours and travel as required
  • Bilingualism (English/French) is an asset
  • Candidates must possess a minimum G2 driver's license or obtain a valid G Class license with access to own vehicle

#26-73 Investigation, Assessment and Ongoing Worker

INVESTIGATION, ASSESSMENT AND ONGOING WORKER
Twelve (12) Month Full-time Contract Position in Kirkland Lake or Englehart

As a member of the Investigation, Assessment and Ongoing team, your primary responsibilities will be to provide a broad spectrum of children's services. These services may include, but are not limited to, providing preventative and child protection services to children and families, completing risk assessments, developing protection plans and completing the required documentation necessary for determining disposition.

JOB REQUIREMENTS (QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS):
  • An MSW or BSW is preferred (a College Diploma in Social Services may be considered along with other relevant university degrees or diplomas deemed suitable by the Executive Director)
  • Experience working with children, youth and families is considered an asset
  • Able to interpret and apply relevant legislative requirements
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Must be willing and able to work flexible hours as required
  • Must be willing to travel as required
  • Bilingualism (English/French) is an asset
  • Candidates must possess a minimum G2 driver's license at the time of application and be willing to obtain a valid G Class driver's license as a condition of employment or already possess a valid G Class driver's license and have access to their own vehicle

Salary: $ 59,724 - $ 85,697 annually
