Job summary

Bombardier is seeking an engineering intern to analyze cabin furnishings and systems for airworthiness compliance and to prepare design compliance reports.

You will collaborate with engineering teams, provide leadership on certification requirements, conduct investigations of issues, and coordinate with Transport Canada and other authorities. The 8‑month internship offers a flexible hybrid workplace at Completion Center.

Responsibilities

• Analyze cabin furnishings and systems for airworthiness compliance and prepare design reports.
• Collaborate with engineering teams and provide leadership on certification requirements.
• Investigate technical issues, regulations and guidance material.
• Conduct interior aircraft evaluations.
• Coordinate with Transport Canada and other authorities on queries.
• Support the Airworthiness group as needed.

What are your contributions to the team?

• Be responsible for the analysis of the cabin furnishings and systems against the applicable airworthiness requirements and for the preparation of design compliance reports
• Work closely with other teams within the engineering group and provide leadership & advice on certification requirements and interpretations thereof related to occupant safety
• Conduct investigations of technical issues, regulations and associated guidance material
• Conduct interior evaluation of aircraft
• Resolve issues and address queries with Transport Canada and other authorities
• Support the Airworthiness group with their tasks and deliverables if required

• You are in process of obtaining an University degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering or equivalent
• You have the ability to understand complex engineering issues and are innovative in problem solving

• You must be a self-motivated person, a team player able to work under pressure

• You have leadership
• You are bilingual (French and English) (asset)
