Job summary

Bombardier is seeking engineering interns to support Global 5500/6500/8000 Final Assembly Lines, gaining hands-on experience in a fast-paced aerospace environment.

This 12-month hybrid internship offers exposure to Change Management, KPI reporting, and continuous improvement activities, with occasional travel outside Canada for training purposes.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with at least two years of study completed.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities are essential.
• Familiarity with CAD tools is an asset; knowledge of Power BI, Python, and MS Project is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Support the Global 5500, 6500, and 8000 Final Assembly Lines by assisting with engineering tasks and resolving production issues.
• Assist with Change Management activities, track changes, support governance processes, and follow up on action items to ensure timely closure.
• Contribute to the Bombardier OE (Operational Excellence) System by tracking problem solving and process improvement initiatives, and by preparing KPI reports.
• Support the Final Line document release process by maintaining databases and coordinating follow-up actions.
• Assist with investigation, tracking, and governance of Engineering Technical Issues.
• Support governance of Engineering Deliverables by maintaining databases and monitoring action items.
• Facilitate meetings by preparing materials, capturing minutes, and distributing documentation.
• Build and maintain effective working relationships with cross-functional teams across Bombardier.

What are your contributions to the team?

• Support the Global 5500, 6500, and 8000 Final Assembly Lines by assisting with engineering activities and contributing to the timely resolution of production-related issues.
• Assist with Change Management activities, including tracking changes, supporting governance processes, and following up on action items to ensure timely closure.
• Contribute to the Bombardier Operational Excellence System by tracking Problem Solving and Process Improvement initiatives, developing tools and applications, and preparing and presenting Key Performance Indicator (KPI) reports.
• Support the Final Line document release process by maintaining databases and coordinating the follow-up of outstanding actions.
• Assist with the investigation, tracking, and governance of Engineering Technical Issues.
• Support the management and governance of Engineering Deliverables by maintaining databases and monitoring action item completion.
• Facilitate meetings by preparing presentation materials, capturing meeting minutes, and ensuring timely distribution of documentation.
• Build and maintain effective working relationships with cross-functional teams and various departments across Bombardier.

How to thrive in this role?

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and having successfully completed at least two years of study.
• Eagerness to learn and contribute in a fast-paced engineering environment
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications; familiarity with CAD tools is an asset.
• Familiarity with Power BI, Python, and Microsoft Project is considered an asset.
• Previous work experience and/or completion of an engineering internship is considered an asset
