Job summary

Bombardier is offering an aerospace internship in Dorval, Canada, focused on integrating hydro‑mechanical systems with flight control, hydraulics and landing gear. You will participate in design, analysis, testing and certification activities as part of a collaborative team.

Applicants are students in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering, with strong English, autonomy and teamwork. Proficiency with MS Office is required; CATIA, MATLAB and Simulink are assets.

Qualifications

• Student in a Canadian university in Aerospace Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
• Proficient in English (spoken and written).
• Autonomous, organized and able to work with limited supervision.
• Team player with good judgment and initiative.
• Proficient with MS Office; CATIA/MATLAB/Simulink considered assets.

Responsibilities

• Provide support in the integration of flight control, hydraulic and/or landing gear systems for definition, specification, design, analysis, modification, test and certification of hydro-mechanical systems.
• Assess design changes and support integration of hydro-mechanical systems.
• Review supplier documentation supporting design changes and provide feedback.
• Check quality of supplier tests and analyses; prepare or review qualification or certification reports.
• Liaise with RM&S, simulation, customer and operations support departments.
• Identify issues, follow up and communicate progress of assigned tasks.

What are your contributions to the team?

• Provide support in the integration of the flight control, hydraulic and/or landing gear system for the definition, specification, design, analysis, modification, test and certification of hydro-mechanical systems.
• Assess the design changes and support integration of the hydro-mechanical systems.
• Review the supplier documentation in support of design change and provide feedback.
• Check for quality of the Supplier's tests and analyses.Prepare or review qualification or certification reports.
• Liaise with stress, loads, reliability, maintainability and safety (RM&S), simulation, customer and operations support departments.
• Identify issues and obstacles, follow-up and communicate progress of assigned tasks.

• You are a student in a Canadian university in Aerospace Engineering or Mechanical Engineering with an interest in aerospace.
• You have good oral and technical writing skills in English (required).
• You are motivated, self-starter, organized, autonomous and able to work under limited supervision.

• You have good knowledge of MS Office software (essential).
