Job summary

Steele Auto Group is seeking an Internal Service Advisor at Steele Hyundai in Halifax to act as the communication hub between Sales, Service, Parts and Technicians. You will coordinate pre-owned vehicles through reconditioning, track progress, and ensure timely movement to the sales floor.

The role requires organization, reliability, and a proactive approach to problem solving. Automotive service or parts exposure is a plus, with a valid driver’s license and a clean abstract prized.

Responsibilities

• Act as a communication link between Sales, Service, Parts and Technicians to move pre-owned vehicles through reconditioning.
• Coordinate and dispatch a high volume of pre-owned vehicles while balancing priorities and shop capacity.
• Monitor make-ready progress, identify outstanding items, and follow up with teams to move vehicles toward sales floor.
• Coordinate service needs, parts availability and repair updates for accurate, efficient work.
• Prepare and hand-deliver work orders to technicians and maintain clear communication across the shop.
• Build strong cross-department relationships and support a positive, team-focused environment.
• Contribute to a seamless process delivering quality vehicles and exceptional customer experience.

Internal Service Advisor | Steele Hyundai

At Steele Hyundai, every vehicle has a story before it reaches the customer, and our Internal Service Advisor plays an important role in bringing that story together. We're looking for someone who enjoys being the connection point between teams, keeping communication clear, processes moving, and vehicles on track from reconditioning to the sales floor.

As an Internal Service Advisor, you'll help coordinate the journey of our pre-owned inventory by working closely with Sales, Service, Parts, and Technicians. You'll keep everyone aligned, follow up on progress, and help ensure each vehicle moves through the make-ready process efficiently and accurately. This is a great opportunity for someone who thrives on organization, teamwork, and being the person who helps keep the day running smoothly behind the scenes.

Compensation: $18.10 - $20.80 per hour

What You'll Do:

• Act as the communication link between Sales, Service, Parts, and Technicians to help keep pre-owned vehicles moving through the reconditioning process.

• Coordinate service needs, parts availability, and repair updates to help ensure work is completed accurately and efficiently.
• Prepare and hand-deliver work orders to technicians while supporting clear communication and workflow throughout the shop.
• Build strong working relationships across departments and contribute to a positive, team-focused environment.
• Support a seamless process that helps deliver quality vehicles and an exceptional experience for our customers.

What We're Looking For:

• A strong communicator who enjoys working with people and bringing teams together.
• Someone who is organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• A proactive problem solver who takes ownership, follows through, and helps find solutions.
• Automotive service or parts experience, with approximately one year in a Service Advisor, Parts Advisor, or related dealership role considered an asset.
• Someone who understands the importance of teamwork, process, and delivering quality results.
• A valid driver's license with an acceptable driver's abstract.
