Job summary

Advantage Ford is expanding and seeks an Internal Service Advisor to join the Wood Automotive Group team in Calgary. Reporting to the Service Manager, you will organize work flow, optimize technician workload, and coordinate vehicle deliveries to enhance guest experience.

You will maintain dispatch systems, document repair orders with accuracy, and monitor job status while communicating with service advisors and customers. A 1+ year dealership背景 and PBS familiarity are preferred.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1+ year experience in a service department or dealership setting.
  • Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
  • Excellent oral and written communication abilities.
  • Process and detail oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Able to stay composed under pressure and prioritize tasks.
  • PBS experience is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Arrange work assignments and repair order flow to boost efficiency.
  • Coordinate new and used vehicle deliveries with various teams.
  • Maintain effective dispatch and communication among staff.
  • Ensure accurate repair order documentation with punch times.
  • Monitor service orders and adjust time/cost estimates as needed.
  • Keep the repair log up-to-date in the DMS and relay status to customers.

About the role:

Reporting to the Service Manager, the successful candidatewill be highly motivated individual that will arrange work assignments andrepair order flow to boost efficiency and maximize benefit of technician’sskill level and workload to ensure our valued guests have the best experience.In addition, coordinate new and used vehicle deliveries.

Responsibilities:
  • Maintainbalance by leveraging our dispatch system for work distribution processand ensures ongoing communication between service advisors, parts counterpersonnel, technicians and management to maximize the use of our availableresources in the shop.
  • Implementsand maintains an effective dispatch system ( PBS )
  • Prioritizesand controls all comebacks to ensure proper and prompt attention
  • Ensuresproper repair order documentation, i.e., complaint, cause, and correctionnoted on every repair order with punch time for each operation
  • Reviewsjob status frequently, logging status and reporting any change in time orcost estimates to the appropriate Service Advisor and/or customer
  • Reviewcompleted repair orders to ensure they fully describe reason for visit,diagnosis, and time/materials used for repair work.
  • Monitorstatus of service orders, and notify service advisor/customer of anynecessary adjustments to time/cost estimates.
  • Keeprepair log up-to-date to DMS
  • Relayjob status information to service management
  • CoordinateNew / Used vehicle sales deliveries with accessory, detail and sublet whenrequired.
  • Usecourteous professional demeanor to serve customers and team members
  • Committo a high standard of customer satisfaction.
Requirements:
  • Minimum1+ year experience in the service department / dealership setting
  • Avalid's driver license and a good driving record, per company standards
  • Anenthusiastic, motivated, and energetic person who has a personaldetermination to overcome possible objections while providing anoutstanding customer experience
