Job summary

Bombardier Transportation GmbH invites students to join a 12-month internship in our Completion Center in Canada. You will learn compensation plans, payroll systems, CNESST processes, and ergonomic job evaluations.

You will work with the claim manager on daily claims management and collaborate with Medical Service, HR and union representatives to ensure timely submission of files. Travel within Canada may be required for training or assignments.

Qualifications

• Student pursuing a bachelor’s degree in industrial relations or human resources.
• Student enrolled in a DEC program in Legal Techniques or Specialized Medical Secretarial Studies.
• Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
• Highly motivated team player with attention to detail.
• Excellent command of Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Organized and structured, able to maintain confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to the claim manager in the daily management of claims.
• Participate in projects and meetings related to claims management.
• Collaborate with Medical Service, HR and union representatives to ensure files are submitted to the appropriate authorities on time.
• Produce reports and provide support for administrative tasks.
• Provide all information required by Payroll.
• Perform various transactions in our systems and ensure the update of data.

Long Description

During your internship, you will learn:

• Develop knowledge of various compensation plans and analytical and follow-up skills in disability management;
• Applications/software such as various HR/Payroll systems and CNESST platform;
• Participate in CNESST file investigations and ergonomic job evaluations.

What are your contributions to the team?

• Provide support to the claim manager within the daily management of claims related to various compensation programs;
• Participate in projects and meetings related to claims management;
• Work in close cooperation with the Medical Service, Human Resources and union representatives to make sure the files are submitted to the appropriate authorities and processed within the prescribed timeframes;
• Produce various reports and provide support for administrative tasks;
• Provide all the information required to Payroll department;
• Perform various transactions in our systems and ensure the update of data.

How to thrive in this role?

• You are a student pursuing a bachelor’s degree in industrial relations or human resources, or a student enrolled in a College Diploma (DEC) program in Legal Techniques or Specialized Medical Secretarial Studies;
• You are a highly motivated team player with excellent communication skills (oral and written); You are a rigorous person who pays attention to detail;
• You have an excellent command of the Office series and particularly of the Excel software;
• You are an organized and structured person;
• You are able to maintain strict confidentiality.
