Job summary

Colliers International in Edmonton is seeking a part-time, in-office intern for our Debt Advisory Team. The internship starts September or early January and continues as needed based on business needs.

Qualifications include being a current Canadian university student in Finance or Accounting, with strong Excel skills, communication, and attention to detail. Availability Monday to Friday, 12PM–5PM MST, is required. Applicants must be authorized to work in Canada and direct applicants only.

Qualifications

  • Current student at a Canadian university majoring in Finance, Accounting or related field; graduation preferred 2027.
  • Excellent communication skills and strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Proficient with Microsoft 365 Office.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with financial analysis and modeling for debt advisory mandates.
  • Prepare lender packages and support documentation for financing requests.
  • Conduct market research and compile comparable debt terms.
  • Coordinate with lenders and clients on information requests.
  • Support internal reporting and deal tracking.
  • Other duties as required.

Position Details

**This part-time position is an in‑office role based out of our Edmonton Office with our Debt Advisory Team. The anticipated start date is September/ early January with the internship continuing on an ongoing basis based on business needs**

About you
  • Assist with financial analysis and modeling for debt advisory mandates
  • Prepare lender packages and support documentation for financing requests
  • Conduct market research and compile comparable debt terms
  • Coordinate with lenders and clients on information requests
  • Support internal reporting and deal tracking
  • Other duties as required
What you’ll bring
  • Current student at a Canadian University majoring in Finance, Accounting or a related field. Preference will be given to candidates graduating in 2027.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Previous experience in a similar role is considered an asset.
  • Proficient in Microsoft 365 Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
  • A demonstrated interest in Real Estate through involvement with campus clubs, case competitions, or relevant courses.
  • Passionate about learning and ready to tackle challenges in a professional environment.
  • Must be available Monday to Friday between 12PM – 5PM MST.
