S.I. Systems Ltd. has an opening for an Intermediate Project Control Officer to support project financial governance and resource management in a fast-paced IT environment in Toronto. The role requires 3–5 years of relevant experience and hands-on work with GL reconciliation and Eclipse, with hybrid onsite work.

You will collaborate with a governance team and senior leaders, manage forecasts, accruals, and reporting, and help optimize tools and processes to meet month-end timelines.

• Demonstrated experience managing program/project financials, including GL reconciliation and executive financial reporting.
• Strong accounting experience
• Ability to pull data from systems, manipulate and report on data.

Responsibilities

• Support project financial governance, coordination, and reporting across multiple workstreams
• Maintain project financial forecasts and track project progress, risks, issues, and action items
• Manage project financials including accruals, GL reconciliation, chargebacks, invoice tracing, forecasting, and variance analysis
• Prepare financial and status reporting for leadership and executive steering committees
• Monitor governance activities and support improvements to processes, tools, and reporting
• Support resource allocation governance and onboard resources into Eclipse
• Provide first-line support for resource and project financial tool issues

Our financial services client is seeking a Intermediate Project Control Officer (4+ years) to support project financial governance and resource management using GL reconciliation and Eclipse-108899-1

This role supports project financial management and resource governance across multiple workstreams within a technology operations environment. The position focuses on financial coordination, forecasting, reporting, GL reconciliation, and resource allocation support in a fast-paced portfolio setting. The contractor will work closely with a six-person governance team and regularly engage with senior leadership across supported portfolios. The opportunity offers exposure to executive reporting, financial controls, and operational support activities tied to critical month-end timelines.

Location: Toronto/Hybrid ( Every Monday core days and first Friday of every month and any other day as required by management)

Duration: 4 Months- High Chance of Extension

Must Have Skills:

• 3–5 years of experience in a Senior IT Project Coordinator, Project Control Officer, or similar role.
• Demonstrated experience managing program/project financials, including GL reconciliation and executive financial reporting.
• Strong accounting experience
• Ability to pull data from systems, manipulate and report on data.

Nice to Have:

• Experience at CIBC, CIBC GL reconciliation, Eclipse tool experience.
• Ability to use Eclipse (proprietary tool used by CIBC is a BIG asset)
• Advanced proficiency in MS Project, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
• Experience with Jira, Power BI, Alteryx.
