Job summary

Groupe Gestion SNJ is seeking an Interim Compliance & Training Manager to cover 12 World Gym locations in Quebec. The role focuses on interim management, audits, and training to uphold company standards and member experience.

Ideal candidates will have 1+ year in training/compliance, a fitness background, bilingual English/French, and willingness to travel frequently. This role is highly operational and mobile with potential for permanent advancement within the network.

Qualifications

• Degree in Physical Education is considered an asset.

• Excellent communication, observation, coaching, and report-writing skills.
• Bilingual in French and English; valid driver’s licence; frequent travel; able to work under pressure.

Position summary

The Interim Compliance & Training Manager supports the performance of our 12 gyms across the network by providing temporary coverage, when needed, in General Manager or Assistant General Manager positions.

The role also includes conducting audits, providing training, and ensuring compliance with company standards, policies, and procedures.

This position is ideal for an entry-level or junior candidate looking to develop experience in management, compliance, and training within a dynamic operational environment.

This is a highly operational and mobile role that requires close collaboration with club management teams to identify gaps, implement corrective actions, and reinforce best practices across all locations.

Responsabilities

A) Interim Management

Temporary assignments across the 12 World Gym Quebec locations.

• Temporarily manage assigned clubs during vacancies, absences, transition periods, or situations requiring performance improvement.
• Maintain continuity of operations, including front desk service standards, club readiness, team scheduling support, and quality of member service.
• Support club management teams, including GMs and AGMs, by providing structure, guidance, and coaching during interim assignments.

B) Compliance Audits

• Ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures, as well as applicable workplace requirements.
• Identify gaps, document observations, recommend corrective actions, and follow up until implementation is completed.
• Maintain accurate documentation of audits, compliance reports, and follow-up records.
• Ensure cash control procedures are followed, verify cash drawer balances, and ensure any discrepancies are handled according to company procedures.

C) Training & Development

Provide support and training, both in person and online, to employees and managers, including onboarding, standards refreshers, and compliance training.

• Participate in the implementation of training programs and compliance initiatives across the network.
• Serve as a resource for clubs regarding best practices, process compliance, and operational consistency.

Qualifications

• Degree in Physical Education is considered an asset.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in training, operations, compliance, or a similar role. Experience in the fitness industry is required.
• Excellent communication, observation, coaching, and report-writing skills.
• Strong independence and ability to work under pressure during transition periods.
• Valid driver’s licence and availability to travel frequently.
• Bilingual in French and English is required.
• Comfortable using Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel, and Word, and able to quickly learn new systems.

Working Conditions

• Full-time position, 40 hours per week.
• Authority to determine daily operational priorities during interim assignments.
• Frequent travel between locations, with a flexible schedule based on operational needs.
• Opportunity to be considered for a permanent General Manager position at one of our locations, including the possibility of relocation within Quebec.
• Travel required approximately 70% of the time.
