Job summary

Kent & Essex Mutual Insurance Company is seeking a Business Analyst to support business and technology initiatives, documenting requirements and exploring improvements to insurance operations and Guidewire Nexus capabilities.

You will collaborate with leaders, SMEs and technical teams to understand needs, map processes and translate them into actionable requirements, while supporting testing and training activities.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in business analysis.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for business and technical audiences.
• Experience gathering requirements and translating them into actionable specifications.
• Ability to analyze processes and map current and future state workflows.
• Experience documenting requirements and facilitating workshops or interviews.

Responsibilities

• Understand business needs and desired outcomes with business leaders and SMEs.
• Gather, analyze and document business and functional requirements.
• Participate in interviews, workshops and requirements sessions.
• Analyze existing processes and workflows to identify improvements.
• Document current and future state processes with flows and use cases.
• Translate business needs into clear requirements for technical teams.
• Support system enhancements and changes driven by business needs.
• Develop knowledge of Kent & Essex Mutual Insurance operations and Guidewire Nexus capabilities.
• Contribute to recommendations to support objectives.
• Develop test scenarios and participate in user acceptance testing.
