Job summary

Desjardins is seeking a Guidewire Business Systems Analyst to join a strategic P&C transformation. You will bridge business and technology, document requirements, and drive Guidewire initiatives within an Agile environment.

You’ll work with partners, developers, and QA to ensure alignment with organizational goals and deliver value. You will translate business needs into stories and specs, prepare impact analyses, and assist in validating solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, IT, information systems or related field
• Six years of relevant experience in business/functional analysis, including three years as BSA and three with Guidewire
• Property and casualty insurance experience
• Experience collecting, analyzing and documenting requirements
• Experience drafting user stories, functional specs, and impact analyses
• Experience delivering Agile projects and guiding user acceptance testing
• Guidewire Ace certification
• French language knowledge required
• Advanced English due to duties
• Knowledge of integration concepts and REST/SOAP/XML/JSON
• Knowledge of underwriting, billing, and claims processes in P&C insurance

Responsibilities

• Act as an intermediary between business and technology teams to gather, analyze and document needs
• Analyze business processes and recommend solutions to improve efficiency and value
• Translate needs into user stories, rules, and functional specs for implementations
• Prepare impact analyses, process diagrams and functional docs for design and delivery
• Collaborate with developers, QA, architects and business partners throughout delivery
• Help analyze, design, plan and implement Guidewire solutions
• Contribute to test case development and support validation and user acceptance
• Follow up on incidents, change requests and issues with relevant teams
• Resolve production issues and provide user support as needed
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and continuously improve delivery processes
