Job summary

CGIC is seeking an Associate Insurance Advisor II to support insurance agency operations, focusing on sales and service for personal lines (auto, home) and specialty lines. The role emphasizes proactive client reviews, risk assessments, and adherence to underwriting guidelines.

The position requires a General Insurance license and values a Life license as an asset, with at least two years in insurance sales. Office-based with strong client-facing responsibilities and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• General Insurance license is required.
• A Life license is an asset.
• Meet provincial licensing requirements for continuing education to obtain licenses.
• A minimum of 2 years insurance industry experience including sales is preferred.
• In-depth knowledge of auto and property insurance products and underwriting skills.

Responsibilities

• Sales, service and profitable growth of personal lines and specialty lines products.
• Advise and recommend coverages and policies that meet client needs.
• Prospect for all lines of business by identifying and recommending additional products/services.
• Complete front line risk assessment and selection following underwriting guidelines.
• Complete inspections and re-inspections.
• Achieve individual goals for client service, sales, quality and productivity and contribute to agency growth.
• Respond to client questions and concerns, resolve complaints and elevate issues as needed.
• Proactively complete client reviews on auto, home, farm and/or commercial portfolios.
