Job summary

Saskatchewan Polytechnic invites applications for an Instructor role within the Saskatchewan Collaborative Bachelor of Science in Nursing (SCBScN) program at the Regina Campus. The position requires teaching, supervision, and curriculum engagement across lab and clinical settings.

Hours of Work 625 hours (625 hours of student contact/1442.75 hours per year)

Salary Range As per Academic Salary Grid

Temporary Market Stipend $16,000 per annum

199 assigned days per academic year 1.0 FTE

Job Duties/Qualifications, Skills and Abilities(QSA)

• Teach, coach and supervise nursing students in lab and clinical settings.

Required Qualifications, Skills and Abilities (QSA)

• Master’s degree (applicants with a bachelor’s degree must be enrolled and actively participating in a Master’s program; completion within three years is a condition of employment) with at least one degree, either graduate or undergraduate in nursing.
• Eligible for registration (active status) with the College of Registered Nurses of Saskatchewan.
• Minimum of two years recent and relevant experience as a registered nurse.
• Effective communication (oral and written), interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to apply the theory, practices and principles of adult education.
• Small group facilitation skills and leading, modeling and teaching interaction skills.
• Ability to arrange, maintain and evaluate resources.
• Demonstrated competence and recent experience in the use of the internet, e-mail, MS Office Suite software and ability to learn and adapt to changing technology.
• Ability to function as a team member in an ever-changing environment.
• Demonstrates valuing diversity.
