Job summary

Saskatchewan Polytechnic in Prince Albert invites applications for an Instructor of Practical Nursing. You will teach, coach and supervise nursing students in classroom, lab and clinical settings, and provide timely feedback on progress.

You will participate in curriculum development, engage with campus and industry stakeholders, and travel as required to support program delivery and student experiences. Effective communication, interpersonal and instructional skills are essential to foster

Qualifications

• Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing or related field and eligible for RN registration.
• Minimum two years of clinical/teaching experience in medical-surgical nursing.
• Current TLR certificate (participant level).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with effective instructional ability.
• Ability to apply theory to practice and facilitate small group learning.

• Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing or in a related field.
• Eligible for registration (active status) with the College of Registered Nurses of Saskatchewan ( CRNS ).
• Minimum of two years recent and relevant clinical/teaching experience in the area of medical-surgical nursing.
• Current TLR certificate (participant level).
• Effective communication skills (oral and written).
• Effective interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
• Effective instructional ability.
• Ability to apply the theory, practices and principles of medical-surgical and pediatric-obstetrical nursing and adult education.
• Small group facilitation skills and leading, modeling and teaching interaction skills.
• Ability to arrange, maintain and evaluate resources.
• Demonstrates valuing diversity.
