Job summary

Gillfor Distribution Inc. in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia is seeking a full-time Inside Sales Representative to champion all product lines and drive revenue growth in the regional market.

You will maintain and develop existing customer accounts, promote manufacturers programs, and source new opportunities. The role reports to the Dartmouth location Division Manager and requires a proactive, sales-driven mindset.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years' experience as a sales representative; building supply experience is a plus.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Strong selling, communication, problem solving, and negotiating skills.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to learn new software tools; proficient with word processors and spreadsheets.
• Familiarity with the building supply industry is an asset.

Job Description

Gillfor Distribution is seeking a full-time, highly motivated, and experienced Inside Sales Representative for our Dartmouth, Nova Scotia region. The Gillfor Sales Rep will champion all product lines and be responsible for maintaining and developing existing customer accounts, promoting manufacturers programs and sourcing new opportunities for business development and revenue growth in the respective region. This position reports to the Dartmouth location Division Manager.

Key Qualifications

• Excellent working knowledge of word processors, spreadsheets, and ability to learn new tools
• Familiarity and knowledge of the building supply industry
• Solid team player who aggressively looks for opportunities to increase sales
• Highly self-motivated and is target driven with a proven track record in sales
• Excellent selling, communicating, problem solving and negotiating skills
• Prioritizing, time management and organizational skills are a must
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
• Ability to execute market pull-through activities
• Establish, develop and maintain positive business and customer relationships
• Relationship management skills and openness to feedback

Education/Experience

Minimum of two years' experience or more as a sales representative strongly preferred. High school diploma or equivalent is required. Building supply industry experience is an asset.
