Job summary

SRS Distribution Inc. in Sidney, BC is seeking an Inside Contract Sales Representative to drive contract sales by guiding commercial clients through building materials solutions.

You will manage relationships, understand project needs, provide tailored quotes, and coordinate deliveries with external partners. The role requires broad knowledge of building supplies, a proactive sales mindset, and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities

• Project quotes
• Enter delivery orders
• Place special orders
• Assist in purchasing
• Build strong customer relationships through timely callbacks and delivery follow-ups
• Maintaining merchandising standards in designated areas
• Will be required to become subject matter expert
• Attend sales team meetings as needed
• Become knowledgeable about building materials such as lumber, roofing, siding, insulation, drywall, hardware, retaining walls, pavers, concrete, etc.
• Keep desk area clean and presentable
• Respect and obey safety policies and procedures in our yard and on job sites
• All other duties as directed by management

Job description

Position Summary

As an Inside Contract Sales Representative, you will be instrumental in driving contract sales by managing relationships with commercial clients, understanding their project needs, and providing tailored building materials solutions. Your role will involve effective communication, collaboration with external partners, and achieving sales targets. The shifts are Monday - Friday and the wage range is $50,000 - $60,000 annually.

Key Responsibilities

• Project quotes
• Enter delivery orders
• Place special orders
• Assist in purchasing
• Build strong customer relationships through reliable call backs, follow up on deliveries, and awareness of project timeline to foresee material needs
• Maintaining merchandising standards in designated areas
• Will be required to become subject matter expert
• Attend sales team meetings as needed
• Be a source of knowledge and willing to learn about new building materials: lumber, roofing, siding, insulation, drywall, hardware, retaining walls, pavers, concrete, etc.
• Take pride in your work environment keeping your desk area clean and presentable
• Respect and obey safety policies and procedures in our yard and on job sites
• All other duties as directed by management
