Job summary

Rexel Canada is seeking an Inside Sales Representative based in Nanaimo, BC. You will directly service customers by phone and email, process orders and quotations, and drive consistent high levels of service while confirming stock and offering alternatives.

The role requires 2+ years in inside sales within the electrical industry, strong communication skills, and the ability to multitask. AS400 experience is a plus, with opportunities across Rexel Canada’s branches.

Qualifications

• Two years of inside sales experience in electrical industry.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Strong multitasking and time management abilities.
• AS400 experience is an asset.
• Electrical apprenticeship experience is an advantage.
• Team player with product knowledge of the electrical business.
• 1–5 years at an electrical distributor.

Responsibilities

• Directly service customers via phone and email daily.
• Process orders, inquiries and quotations.
• Maintain a high level of customer service.
• Confirm stock availability and suggest alternatives.
• Make follow-up calls to customers on quotations.
• Make at least four outbound calls per day to solicit additional business.
• Assist customers with ecommerce inquiries.

What You Will Do With Us

As the Inside Sales Representative based in Nanaimo,BC,your essential duties will be to:

• Directly service customers via phone & email on a daily basis.
• Process orders, inquiries & quotations every day.
• Consistently achieve a high level of customer service.
• Confirm stock availability and suggest alternatives as required.
• Make follow-up calls to customers on all quotations.
• Make at least four (4) outbound calls per day to various customers to solicit additional business.
• Assist customers with any inquiries regarding ecommerce.

Qualifications:

• A minimum of two years of inside sales experience in electrical industry.
• Proven ability to communicate effectively and build customer relationships
• Strong multitasking and time management skills
• AS400 experience would be an asset
• Electrical apprenticeship experience is considered an advantage.
• Team Player.
• Product knowledge of the electrical business
• 1-5 years at an electrical distributor experience.

The anticipated annual base salary range for this position is CAD 65000 – 85000. Final compensation within this range will be determined by factors such as relevant experience, skills, qualifications, and internal equity. This range does not include variable pay or other components of Rexel’s total rewards package.
