Job summary

Faraday Supply in Alberta is seeking an Inside Representative to grow and manage customer relationships. You’ll split time between counter/phone sales, quoting, and proactive follow-up with customers and prospects to build new business and strengthen existing accounts.

The role requires sales experience, strong communication, and the ability to work both behind the counter and on the phone, with reliable transportation and basic CRM/order system familiarity; you’ll engage with contractors,

Qualifications

• Previous sales experience, ideally in electrical/industrial/trade supply.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle.
• Familiarity with electrical products/terminology and ability to learn quickly.
• Comfortable both behind the counter and on the phone.

Responsibilities

• Respond to customer inquiries in person, by phone, and by email with product recommendations, quotes, and order support.
• Proactively contact existing and prospective customers to build relationships and grow sales.
• Maintain strong product knowledge across electrical components, tools, and supplies.
• Process orders accurately, including pricing, availability, and lead times.
• Identify customer needs and recommend appropriate products or solutions.
• Follow up on quotes, leads, and open opportunities.
• Coordinate with suppliers and internal teams on stock, special orders, and pricing.
• Maintain accurate customer and sales records (CRM/order system).
• Represent Faraday Supply professionally at customer sites, trade events, and in-store.

About the Role

We're looking for a motivated Inside Representative to grow and manage customer relationships. You'll split your time between handling counter/phone sales and quoting, and proactively following up with customers and prospects to build new business and strengthen existing accounts.

Key Responsibilities

• Respond to customer inquiries in person, by phone, and by email — providing product recommendations, quotes, and order support
• Proactively call on existing and prospective customers (contractors, electricians, industrial accounts) to build relationships and grow sales
• Maintain strong product knowledge across electrical components, tools, and supplies
• Process orders accurately, including pricing, availability, and lead times
• Identify customer needs and recommend appropriate products or solutions
• Follow up on quotes, leads, and open opportunities
• Coordinate with suppliers and internal teams on stock, special orders, and pricing
• Maintain accurate customer and sales records (CRM/order system)
• Represent Faraday Supply professionally at customer sites, trade events, and in store

What We're Looking For

• Previous experience in sales, ideally in electrical, industrial, or trade supply
• Comfortable both behind the counter and on the phone
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Self-motivated, organized, and able to manage a flexible schedule between duties described
• Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle
• Familiarity with electrical products/terminology and Electricians Journeyman's ticket is a strong asset
• Comfortable with basic computer/order systems
