Job summary

Faraday Supply seeks a motivated Inside/Outside Sales Representative to grow and manage customer relationships both in-store and in the field in Alberta, Canada. You will split time between counter/phone sales and quoting, and proactively visit customers, job sites, and prospects to build new business.

You will maintain product knowledge across electrical components, tools, and supplies, process orders, and coordinate with suppliers.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in sales, ideally in electrical, industrial, or trade supply.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Self-motivated, organized, and able to manage a flexible schedule between inside and outside duties.

Responsibilities

• Respond to customer inquiries in person, by phone, and by email — providing product recommendations, quotes, and order support.
• Proactively call on existing and prospective customers to build relationships and grow sales.
• Maintain strong product knowledge across electrical components, tools, and supplies.
• Process orders accurately, including pricing, availability, and lead times.
• Identify customer needs and recommend appropriate products or solutions.
• Follow up on quotes, leads, and open opportunities.
• Coordinate with suppliers and internal teams on stock, special orders, and pricing.
• Maintain accurate customer and sales records (CRM/order system).
• Represent Faraday Supply professionally at customer sites, trade events, and job walks.

About the Role

• Maintain strong product knowledge across electrical components, tools, and supplies
• Process orders accurately, including pricing, availability, and lead times
• Identify customer needs and recommend appropriate products or solutions
• Follow up on quotes, leads, and open opportunities
• Coordinate with suppliers and internal teams on stock, special orders, and pricing
• Maintain accurate customer and sales records (CRM/order system)
• Represent Faraday Supply professionally at customer sites, trade events, and job walks

What We're Looking For

• Previous experience in sales, ideally in electrical, industrial, or trade supply
• Comfortable both behind the counter and on the road meeting customers
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Self-motivated, organized, and able to manage a flexible schedule between inside and outside duties
• Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle for outside sales calls
• Familiarity with electrical products/terminology and Electricians Journeyman's ticket is a strong asset
• Comfortable with basic computer/order systems
