Job summary

Southern Irrigation in Kamloops is seeking an Inside Sales – Irrigation Specialist to grow our customer base and drive profitable sales. You will handle quotes, orders, and inquiries by phone and email, with occasional in-person visits.

You will build strong customer relationships, deepen irrigation product knowledge, and pursue sales targets while collaborating with the team across locations. The role offers a clear path to a sales career in irrigation and water systems.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of irrigation products, systems, and basic irrigation design principles.
• Previous inside sales experience, preferably within the irrigation industry.
• Ability to understand customer needs and recommend practical, cost‑effective solutions.
• Working knowledge of pricing, costs, margins, markups, and currency exchange.
• Strong communications skills and the ability to understand situations from the customer’s point of view.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal, knowledgeable, and efficient service to each customer.
• Take ownership of important customer accounts and build relationships through regular communication and occasional in‑person visits.
• Learn about customers’ businesses to recommend the right products and solutions.
• Answer customer questions by phone and email.
• Prepare quotes, process sales orders, and follow up with customers.
• Use CRM and sales‑order software to create leads, track opportunities, and record customer information.
