SRS Distribution, Inc. is seeking a Category Manager for its Langford, BC operations. You will own the product lifecycle from purchase to point of sale, drive revenue through product Line changes, and partner with the Rebuyer team to optimize inventory levels and execute exit strategies.

You will act as an ambassador to employees and customers, maintain a safety-focused culture, and stay ahead of industry trends. Strong relationship building and analytical negotiation skills are essential.

Position Purpose:

The Category Manager is responsible for product life cycle in their category from purchase to point of sale, making changes to the product line as needed to increase revenue. Working closely with the Rebuyer team to manage min and max levels of inventory, the Category Manager is a key business role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Act as an ambassador of the company with all employees and customers.
• Maintain an emphasis on a safety culture, customer service, and efficiency as top priorities.
• Responsible for category management and product life cycle from purchase to point of sale.
• Make changes to the product line as needed to increase revenue stream.
• Respond to sales staff regarding customer queries about products and or opportunities.
• Work closely with key customers to uncover issues and concerns as well as potential market gains.
• Track product turns and identify issues or concerns.
• Manage inventory levels and prepare exit strategies where applicable.
• Coordinate with Rebuyers to manage min and max levels of inventory.
• Market and advertise category products.
• Stay updated on industry trends and market competitors.
• Attend industry events and trade shows to gain product awareness.

Minimum Education:

Post-Secondary education in Supply Chain Management/Business or related field is an asset. A broad understanding of building supplies is essential; specifically, fasteners, power tools, hand tools, hardware. Demonstrate candor; ability to respectfully challenge. Results orientated; proven record of executing projects over the finish line. Comfort/familiarity with constructing presentations, organization communications, and business cases.

Minimum Qualifications:

Strong ability to build relationships and networks with multiple functions at all levels. Strong analytical capabilities and negotiation skills Self-starter and independent worker.

Physical Requirements:

• Standing for extended periods of time
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50lbs.

Compensation:

• The pay range for this role is $65,000-85,000.
• The (range of) compensation for this position is $55,200.00 to $65,100.00.
