Job summary

The City of Hamilton is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead ravines and waterways capital rehabilitation projects. You will coordinate consultants, guide technical staff, and ensure work complies with plans, specifications, and regulatory requirements while delivering on time and within budget.

You will manage multi-disciplinary teams, assess contractor submissions, maintain records, and communicate with officials and the public to advance resilient infrastructure for the community.

Qualifications

  • Extensive progressive work experience (10+ years) in civil engineering and project management.
  • Knowledge of drainage and stormwater management and hydraulic performance.
  • Experience with watercourse rehabilitation and multi-disciplinary requirements.
  • Ability to manage contracts, budgets and approvals for large projects.
  • Strong leadership and communication with diverse stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Lead capital rehabilitation projects for ravines and waterways.
  • Direct consultants and guide technical staff to deliver projects.
  • Ensure work conforms to plans, codes, standards and regulations.
  • Develop project documents including charter and terms of reference.
  • Monitor schedule, budget and contractor performance; manage changes.
