Job summary

The City of Hamilton seeks a Project Manager to lead infrastructure projects across Ravines & Waterways. You will supervise consultants and technical staff, ensuring alignment with plans, codes and City standards while managing public impact and budgets.

Responsibilities include coordinating design/construction, developing project documents, and delivering projects on schedule with prudent resource use. Strong leadership and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Extensive civil engineering and capital rehabilitation project knowledge.
• Drainage/stormwater management understanding for waterways design.
• Experience with contracts, budgets, change orders and records.
• Proven leadership, customer focus and team guidance.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication with multi-disciplinary groups and officials.
• Willingness to travel and bring safety-oriented practices.

Responsibilities

• Manage capital rehabilitation projects and direct consultants and staff.
• Ensure work follows plans, specs, codes, and City standards.
• Deliver construction management with public impact considerations.
• Develop project documents (charter, TOR) and coordinate design/construction.
• Monitor schedule and budget; approve changes and variances.
• Provide technical direction and performance reviews for staff/contractors.
