IDEMIA Public Security in Oakville is seeking a University or College IT Co-OP student to join our hybrid IT team. You will help maintain inventory records for IT hardware and software, patch Windows 11, monitor system logs, and assist with end-user support tickets.

You will gain hands-on exposure to security systems, computer hardware basics, Jira workflows, and collaboration tools (MS Office, MS Teams, SharePoint, CoPilot, ChatGPT).

Formación

• Familiarity with the MS office productivity suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Familiarity with MS Teams and SharePoint
• Exposure to MS CoPilot and ChatGPT
• Experience with Windows 11 setup and administration
• Basic knowledge of computer hardware, operating systems, and networking fundamentals
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
• Familiarity with Jira or similar ticketing system for support workflows
• University or College IT Co-OP student with a concentration in server, network, firewall and physical security system

Responsabilidades

• Maintain and update inventory records for IT hardware , software, and physical security systems
• Patch and update Windows 11 systems to ensure security compliance
• Monitor and analyze system logs, including alarm system to identify issues and patterns
• Troubleshoot and facilitate repair of laptops, desktop, cell phones, printers, scanners
• Respond to and resolve end-user support tickets using various ticketing systems
• Provide first-level technical support
• Assist with filling out and processing purchase orders, shipping, and receiving computer equipment
• Support the team with other IT-related duties as assigned

Note: This is a hybrid role, you must be able to travel to the office.

The Canada hourly rate for this position is $25.
