Job summary

IDEMIA Public Security, a division of IDEMIA Group, is seeking a University/College IT Co-OP student for a hybrid IT support role in Canada. You will maintain inventory, patch Windows 11, monitor logs, troubleshoot devices, and provide first-line support while handling purchase orders and shipping tasks.

Start date May 17, 2027, End date August 6, 2027, with the ability to travel to the office. The Canada hourly rate for this position is $25, reflecting a hands-on, internship-style role designed

Qualifications

• Familiar with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Familiar with MS Teams and SharePoint.
• Exposure to MS CoPilot and ChatGPT.
• Experience with Windows 11 setup and administration.
• Basic knowledge of computer hardware, operating systems, and networking fundamentals.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and update inventory records for IT hardware, software, and physical security systems.
• Patch and update Windows 11 systems to ensure security compliance.
• Monitor and analyze system logs, including alarm system to identify issues and patterns.
• Troubleshoot and facilitate repair of laptops, desktops, cell phones, printers, scanners.
• Respond to and resolve end-user support tickets using various ticketing systems.
• Provide first-level technical support.
• Assist with filling out and processing purchase orders, shipping, and receiving computer equipment.
• Support the team with other IT-related duties as assigned.

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
• Familiarity with Jira or similar ticketing system for support workflows
• University or College IT Co-OP student with a concentration in server, network, firewall and physical security system
