Job Description

Protect Platform comprises technology, security, and risk professionals across Canada, the U.S., and the U.K., managing a comprehensive program to assess, prioritize, and mitigate business risks through technology controls.

The Platform Protect - Network Security Governance team seeks a Network Information Security Specialist responsible for providing enterprise-wide network security expertise, developing governance policies, standards, and processes, and guiding technology teams on security controls.

  1. Oversee and enforce enterprise frameworks related to technology controls and information security activities.
  2. Provide after-hours support for firewall rule reviews and security incidents.
  3. Participate in business and enterprise initiatives to identify risks and offer guidance.
  4. Review internal processes, identify improvement opportunities, and enhance operational efficiency.
  5. Understand key controls and contribute to writing TSS standard documents.
  6. Educate stakeholders to foster a risk-aware culture.
  7. Investigate security incidents and develop remediation strategies.
  8. Collaborate effectively to influence behaviors and build consensus.
  9. Review firewall rules and security exceptions, ensuring compliance with TD standards.
  10. Stay updated on emerging security trends and grow relevant knowledge.
Qualifications
  • 10+ years in IT roles, preferably in financial services or consulting.
  • Knowledge of network platforms: firewalls, IDS/IPS, routers, switches, WAN, MPLS, Load Balancing, WiFi, Guardicore.
  • Experience managing firewall rules and network segmentation.
  • Understanding of external IP space and perimeter controls.
  • Familiarity with NIST, config drift, vulnerability management, and tools like Qualys.
  • Organized, flexible, capable of multitasking.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Experience creating process controls and documentation.
  • Ability to work independently under supervision.
  • Research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to perform network design reviews and identify security gaps.
  • Degree in IT, Computer Science, or Engineering; security certifications are a plus.
